Date(s) Skied: Sunday 1/15 7:30-10:00

Resort or Ski Area: Jiminy Peak

Conditions: Cold with wind with PP,P,Ice

Trip Report: My cousin and I decided to head up to Jiminy Sunday afternoon for some night skiing. The roads had some ice and snow on them so we took our time and drove the actual speed limit and listened to both of the Playoff games which made for a nice ride.
We got to the mountain and loaded on the lift at 7:30. The guns were on full force. The winds were high and it was cold with a wind chill around -15. We took a quick warm up run down West way to upper and lower fox. Next we took West way to North glade. The top of north glade was a sheet of ice due to the high winds but once you made your way down a bit the snow became real nice. We took a look at Whitetail but the top again was all ice due to the high winds so we took Left bank down. The best runs of the day were West Way to North Glade to upper sling shot to Exhibition East. Those runs had the best snow on them with even some slight POW. We stopped sking at 10:00 defrosted and headed to North Adams to our hotel.

Date(s) Skied: Monday 1/16 9:00-3:00

Resort or Ski Area: Stratton

Conditions: Cold some wind and PP,P,Ice

Trip Report: It was time for us to Redeem our free tickets at Stratton so we left our hotel in N. Adams around 7:30 and loaded on the lift at Stratton at 9:00. The guns were cranking on upper and lower standard so we jumped on the gondola and headed for the peak. Upper and lower standard had great condition with pp and pow from all guns the trail of the day. Next we took 91 to the Sun Bowl area and did a few runs on upper down easter which had real nice snow with some large bumps. North American was next on our list which had pp and some ice but was still a fun run. With the exception of Standard most of the mountain had pp with ice in spots but was still a great day of skiing. We stopped at 3:00 and headed home hitting lots of traffic in Springfield Made the 8:00 ferry out of Brideport and was home by 9:45. Fun COLD trip but a tough day at work today. Pics soon.
