HIGHMOUNT, New York -- The stunning fall foliage will almost be an afterthought. Belleayre Mountain is anxious to open its venue doors with a revitalized and highly anticipated event; The 30th Annual Fall Festival (www.belleayre.com) will introduce its new pulse of energy in the form of the newly expanded Entertainment Village. A truly communal gathering, the Belleayre Fall Festival has traditionally drawn its visitors with local craft artisans and tasty German fare. This year, Belleayre seeks to deliver even more. Free parking and free admission make this affordable fun for the whole family.
Beginning on Saturday, October 10th, RatBoy from New Paltz will take the stage at 11:00 am delivering indie-pushing-jam-band sounds for excited crowds. Local reknowned and celebrated band, Blues Maneuvers, will then follow from 2pm-4pm. Brooklyn's rising sensation, Kara Suzanne and the Gojo Hearts will close Saturday evening from 5:00- 7:00pm with a set of hipster country alt-rock. Sunday will continue to rock at the mountain with the sultry, powerhouse voice of Miss Renee Bailey of the Saints of Swing. The Catskill Mountain's favorite, Detour will then please its crowds from 1:30- 3:00pm. The Festival weekend will then culminate with widely acclaimed group, The Trapps (3:30-5:30pm). Music lovers of all types will surely enjoy the stunning, outdoor acoustics of these authentic, New York bands. Fittingly, the Fall Festival will give guests the options of enjoying seasonal varietals in the Beer Garden. The Food Court will be bigger and better than ever featuring tastes such as pulled pork sandwiches, Jamaican jerk chicken, pizzas, paella, deep fried Oreos, and the ever famous German delights.
Countless ongoing activities throughout the weekend will serve fun for everyone. Catskill Outback Adventures will be hosting an outdoor expo center with a Zip line and exciting Ropes course for children and adults, alike. Akville Bikeville will make available their mountain bike selection for weekend riding enjoyment. In addition, The Raptor Project from Roxbury, New York will give all-aged visitors a unique eyeful with gorgeous birds of prey that have been featured on Time Magazine, Rolling Stones Magazine, and throughout schools, nationwide. Renowned, local raptor rehabilitator Jonathan Woods will be featuring eagle owls and snowy owls in his display as he returns to the Belleayre Fall Festival for the first time in over a decade. Festival Gates will open at 10am on Saturday and Sunday, closing after the Entertainment Village quiets.
Other highlights don't stop there. Jimmy's Belleayre Ski Shop, Kenco, and The Pro Ski and Board Shop will be hosting an uber ski and snowboard equipment sale. Some of the best deals on gear will be found at this tent sale held exclusively at the Belleayre Fall Festival. On Saturday, from 11:00- 3:00pm Hudson Valley Blood Services will be hosting a blood drive in the Overlook Downstairs Caf
