Newry, Maine -- They don't call Sunday River the home of the most dependable snow in New England for nothing. Sunday River was the first resort in New England to open for two years in a row, and this week, snowguns are working around the clock to provide even more terrain for tomorrow's opening.
Thanks to the help of 250 snowguns, Sunday River will open tomorrow at 9 a.m. with nine trails including top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Cascades, Sunday Punch and Right Stuff.
Tomorrow's grooming plan includes Ecstasy, Jungle Road and T2 and some of Sunday Punch. For the weekend, another 11 trails are expected to come online to provide skiing and riding across three or Sunday River's eight connected peaks.
