Triskaidekaphobia May Be the Secret to Saving on Okemo Season Passes

LUDLOW, Vermont -- The irrational fear of the number 13 is not a common malady nowadays, but a little superstition can give frugal-minded skiers and snowboarders an advantage when it comes to purchasing a season pass at Okemo Mountain Resort. Pre-season rates on all season passes are valid through October 13. After that, all passes go to full price.

They don't call it "Ultra" for nothing.

When it comes to season passes, Okemo's Ultra Pass covers it all – including this winter's Colorado ski trip. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the slopes every day at Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stratton and even Crested Butte, in Colorado, with no restrictions for only $1,369 for adults ($1469 after Oct. 13). It's like getting four season passes for the price of one – with added benefits at Okemo. Additional Ultra Pass privileges include $15 off group lessons, morning clinics, and full-day high-performance rentals and ski/snowboard demo packages. First-track fanatics will especially enjoy early access benefits that include 7:45 a.m. lift access on weekends and holidays at Okemo and Stratton.

In addition to the Ultra Pass, Okemo offers a variety of direct-to-lift season pass options. The Peak Pass is a no-frills season pass for unrestricted skiing and riding seven days a week at Okemo and Mount Sunapee. The Value Pass Plus Pass offers seven-day-a-week skiing and riding, excluding holiday blackout days, at Okemo, Mount Sunapee and Stratton Mountain. The Midweek Super Pass is valid Monday through Friday, excluding holiday periods, at Okemo, Mount Sunapee and Stratton Mountain. Okemo also offers The College Pass and a Super Seniors Pass.

Added Value for 2008/09 Okemo Season Passholders

When Okemo season passholders book a Crested Butte, Colo., lodging package for three or more people through Crested Butte Vacations, they get one complimentary American Airlines round-trip ticket for every two they buy for travel during the 2008-2009 ski season. Passholders who book through Crested Butte Vacations also receive lift and lodging discounts. Some restrictions apply.

Okemo season passholders can save ten percent on seasonal Spring House memberships. The Springhouse is Okemo's state-of-the-art fitness and aquatic center, located at Jackson Gore.

Okemo season passes offer many benefits at other mountains too. More than a dozen partner resorts in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan, offer lift ticket discounts to Okemo season passholders.
