NEW HARTFORD, Connecticut -- Ski Sundown hosts its 3rd Annual Brewers' Fest at the mountain on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 4pm to 8pm.
This year's tasting experience will include a wide variety of breweries and brewpubs from Connecticut and beyond including Berkshire Brewer Co., Cambridge House Brew Pub, The Hartford Better Beer Co., Cottrell Brewing Co., Barrington Brewery, John Harvard's Brew House, Thomas Hooker Brewery, The Boston Beer Co., Hops Restaurant, Bar & Brewery, Otter Creek Brewing & Wolaver's Organic Ales, Harpoon Brewery, Opa Opa Steakhouse & Brewery, Merchant Du Vin, Saranac (Fx Matt Brewing Co.) and Captain Lawrence Brewing Co.
River City Slim and the Zydeco Hogs will supply musical entertainment and a selection of grill foods and snacks will be available for purchase. Various vendors will be onsite including Collinsville Canoe & Kayak, Eastern Mountain Sports, Impaled Longboards, Personal Best Fitness Training, Sartorius Sports, SK8 Committee, Ski Market and Sporthouse. The event will be held rain or shine and ample, free parking is available.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.skisundown.com for $25 in advance and $30 at the door. You must be 21 or older to attend and a photo i.d. is required. Designated driver tickets are available for $20. A portion of the proceeds will benefit STRIDE Sports & Therapeutic Recreation/Ski Sundown Adaptive Program, providing ski and snowboard lessons for children and adults with physical, cognitive or developmental disabilities.
