KILLINGTON, Vermont -- For the third consecutive year Killington Resort is teaming up with the United Way of Rutland County to kick off the summer season at the Pico Mountain Adventure Center and Killington Resort on Friday, June 27.
All activities at the Pico Mountain Adventure Center, including the Alpine Slides, climbing walls, the new Pico Power Jump and mini-golf, plus lift-served hiking and mountain biking via the K-1 Gondola at Killington will be free from noon to 4 p.m. with a $10 donation to the United Way of Rutland County. The regular cost for an Adventure Center day pass is $34 for adults (age 18+), $29 for seniors (age 65+) and young adults (over 48" tall and under the age of 1 and $12 for kids under 48" tall. Mountain bike lift access via the K-1 Gondola is an additional $10.
"The UWRC is very pleased to have this partnership with Pico Mountain and Killington Resort," said Rich Carlson, 2008 United Way of Rutland County campaign chairman. "It comes at a time when additional revenues are needed the most."
Guests will have the opportunity to purchase discounted Adventure Center season passes for $10 off the regular price plus $10 of your season pass purchase will be donated to the United Way. The regular price for season passes is $79 for singles and $159 for families*. Individual mountain bike season passes are $104 and include all Adventure Center activities. Plus, the first 50 guests that purchase a summer Adventure Center or Mountain Bike Season pass will receive a special gift from Killington and Pico Mountain.
"Once again, we're excited to partner with the United Way of Rutland County in hosting an exciting fundraiser that invites folks to experience our numerous summer activities," said Dave Rathbun, Killington's director of marketing. Over the past three year's Killington Resort and Pico Mountain have donated more than $25,000 to the United Way of Rutland County.
The Adventure Center at Pico Mountain, as well as mountain biking and hiking at Killington are scheduled to open daily for the summer and fall season beginning Saturday, June 28 with the following schedule:
