NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire -- Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, NH takes part in Mount Washington Valley's Rally in the Valley with its new Summer Solstice Biker Ball, taking place outside on the deck on Friday, June 20, 2008, from 4-7pm.

The all-ages event, featuring outdoor live music, barbeque and beer garden, will invite motorcyclists and locals alike to come welcome summer at North Conway's hometown mountain resort. Long a popular site for outdoor summer concerts, Cranmore's slopes make for a natural amphitheater and a unique experience for music fans.

Live music will be provided by local favorites, Preface. A three-piece band, Preface plays an eclectic groove of energetic music with influences ranging from jazz to reggae to punk to funk.

Cranmore will fire up the outdoor barbeque grill to give guests a tasty selection of grilled delectables, including burgers, chicken, hot dogs, brats with sauerkraut, chicken Caesar salad wraps, pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad and cole slaw. The barbeque will be offered for $10.95 per person. A cash bar and outdoor beer garden will also be available. The barbeque and bar open at 3:30pm, 30 minutes before show time.

In partnership with the Mount Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce Mountain Motorcycle Adventure promotion, Cranmore will offer a two for one barbeque price for anyone with the Chamber's Rally in the Valley Wristband. For more information on the wristband, contact the Chamber at 603.356.5701 or visit www.mtwashingtonvalley.org.

Rally in the Valley takes place during Laconia Motorcycle Week, the annual pilgrimage of motorcyclists to New Hampshire, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to the state. This year, Laconia Motorcycle Week takes place from June 14-22, 2008. For more information, visit http://www.laconiamcweek.com.

Admission for the Summer Solstice Biker Ball is complimentary and open to the public. The event takes place rain or shine and will move indoors to Cranmore's Eating House lodge in case of inclement weather. For more information, visit www.cranmore.com or call 1-800-SUN-N-SKI.
