HENNIKER, New Hampshire -- Pats Peak, New Hampshire's premier family snowsports destination, enters into its 45th consecutive ski and snowboard season under the same local family ownership. Every season Pats Peak continues to improve its facility and experience for their skiers and snowboarders. Pats Peak's capital improvements have been aggressive in recent years with over $5 million in the past six years. This year is no different.

Improvements for the 2007/2008 season include snowmaking upgrades; increased night lighting; new rental equipment; completely reconfigured beginners area; and expanded snowtubing hours.

Pats Peak continues to be deeply committed to snowmaking by continually increasing snowmaking capabilities and adding to an arsenal that already gives the mountain 100% snow coverage. To continue to showcase Pats Peak's obsession with snowmaking, two additional high capacity water pumps have been installed to force the snow out even faster. Along with the increased snowmaking power, additional HKD tower guns have been purchased and six new SMI snowmaking fan guns were placed around the mountain.

The Rental Shop continues to enhance its already impressive rental fleet with 300 new pairs of skis & bindings and 200 snowboards.

The Beginners Area has been completely reconfigured including the relocation of the existing carpet lift closer to the side of the trail, giving even more open terrain for beginners to learn. Additional snowmaking fan guns have also be added to the area to increase snowmaking coverage in the Beginners Area.

With the addition of night lighting on the Vortex trail, Pats Peak has 21 out of 22 trails with lights for night skiing. That is nearly 100% of the mountain open day and night!

Snowtubing Hours have been extended on Friday Night. The snowtubing thrills now begin at 3pm on Fridays with 2 hours sessions of 3-5pm; 5-7pm; 7-9pm. Snowtubing Pricing for a Two-Hour Session is $14 and a Four-Hour Session is $16. For a complete calendar of Snowtubing Operating Hours, go to patspeak.com/snowtubing.htm.

Kris Blomback, general manager of Pats Peak, commented, "We continue our capital improvements every year to provide the best possible guest experience at Pats Peak. Every change is targeted to make the guest's experience better. We are fortunate to have committed ownership that continues to re-invest wisely and in a timely manner allowing us to offer the very best product and service."

Pats Peak continues its most popular program, Pay-One-Price (POP) Saturday Nights, whereby one low price on Saturday nights allows access to lesson tips, lifts, tubing, rentals, entertainment, bonfires and more from 3pm to 10pm (tubing hours 5pm to 10pm).

Adult Ski & Snowboard Clinics are available weekday mornings for seven weeks beginning January 7, 2008. Adult/Corporate Night Racing keeps Pats Peak hopping during weeknights beginning January 2, 2008.
