By AlpineZone News

Greetings from Ragged Mountain!

We received four inches of snow last night and more is in the forecast for tomorrow. Ok, so it's not the "big dump" that we are all anxiously awaiting, but we'll take it. Between the beautiful yellow orb in the sky and the blanket of powder, first tracks this morning were fantabulous!

This week we opened Lower Ridge, Raggedy Andy and Upper Chute. Our snowmakers have been working non-stop and we plan to open Lower Chute, Showboat and Showoff this weekend. Get the full report and get ready for some carvetastic skiing and riding. Look for the guns to be blasting next on Cardigan and other new terrain.

Let your kids know the Barn-to-be-Wild is now open on Barnyard. Be on the lookout for Murray the Moose - it's one of his favorite places to hang out.

MOUNTAIN DEW VERTICAL CHALLENGE- SUNDAY, JANUARY 22
We will host the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge this Sunday. This is a great family-friendly race open to all ages. Registration is free with a lift ticket or season's pass. Be one step ahead and get your registration form online. Registration starts at 8 am and racing begins at 11 am. There are always tons of prizes and give-aways.

GAME ON!
There's no other place to get the best of both worlds. Come up and enjoy the skiing and riding on Sunday, then head to Tallulah's where we'll have the Pats Game on. We'll have $2 PBR's, and 2 big-screen TV's to watch the game.

GOT YOUR FREQUENT SKIER CARD YET?
With the best part of winter ahead of us- now is the time to get your Frequent Skier Card. On sale for just $59, each card comes pre-loaded with a COMPLIMENTARY SUNDAY-FRIDAY NON-HOLIDAY LIFT TICKET. Plus- you save 50% on midweek lift tickets and 25% on weekends and holidays.

Once you have your Frequent Skier Card, you can load it online and then head directly to the lifts! When the big snowstorm hits, you don't want to be "that guy" waiting at the ticket window.

May the Snow Be With You!
