Jiminy Peak Fall Festival Columbus Day Weekend, October 7-9

HANCOCK, Massachusetts -- The Annual Jiminy Peak Fall Festival will take place on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday October 7, 8 and 9, 2006. The Fall Festival features a Craft Fair, the Hancock Fire Department ski and snowboard swap sale, an outdoor barbeque and job fair. Mountain Sports by Potter Brother's will have great sales on apparel and equipment throughout the weekend. The Just Jiminy logo store will also be open throughout the weekend.

The annual Fall Festival Craft Fair will be held in Crane Lodge from 9 am - 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday from 9 am - 2 pm. There will be various types of vendors featuring such items as jewelry, holiday items, monogrammed items and much more. The season ticket office will be open during the Craft Fair to take photos for 2006/2007 season passes.

The annual Hancock Fire Department Ski and Snowboard Swap Sale will be in the Burbank Center located in the Lower Courtyard of Village Center on Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 5 pm, and on Monday 9 am - 2 pm. Please contact the Hancock Fire Department at (413) 738-5446 if you would like to sell items in the sale.

Mountain Sports by Potter Brother's will be open all weekend with great sales on apparel and equipment. The Mountain Sports shop will be open on Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm, Sunday 10 am - 5 pm, and Monday 10 am - 2 pm.

An outdoor barbeque will be held at JJ's Courtyard from 11 am to 2 pm each day (weather permitting). Additional food choices will be available at Christiansen's Tavern and John Harvard's Restaurant and Brewery. John Harvard's will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the weekend. Dinner reservations are appreciated at John Harvard's and can be made by calling (413) 738-5500 ext. 3780.

A Job Fair will be held from 10 am - 2 pm each day in Crane Lodge. Jiminy is now hiring winter seasonal positions for the upcoming year.

Mountain Adventure Park, featuring the new Mountain Coaster, the Alpine Slide, Euro Bungy trampoline, Climbing Wall and more, will be open from 11 am - 6 pm all weekend, weather permitting. The Berkshire Express Scenic Ride will be open from 12 pm - 5 pm.
